The Mask

There is a society of masked, detached humans that exists in the future. A man finds an ancient object and realizes it is a journal from many years ago. As he reads on, the man realizes that his life had been manipulated by an artificial intelligence network that is now running the world. While the man learns how it all happened, he slowly discovers how to be a human once again.

Episode 1: The Object

In episode one, a man, known to himself as simply "One", finds the object named “Journal”. He begins reading it and the story reveals some details from a woman's past, which piques the man’s curiosity. His desire to read grows and he must hide the book from his significant “Other”.

Episode 2: The Integration

In episode two, as One reads more of the words the woman wrote in the not-so-distant past, he discovers The Integration. His feeling of uneasiness that surrounds it grows. The One had never heard of The Integration. Meanwhile, the Other tries to correct the perilous situation that the lack of children brings.

Episode 3: Compound Z

In episode three, One desperately tries to fix the situation he is in. He makes a major discovery about the Other which leaves him spiraling. Meanwhile, the journal reveals more about the Company and its surveillance.

Episode 4: ACorN & The Predictive Analysis

 

In episode four, as One tackles the prospect of Children with the Other, his reading of the journal continues.  To his astonishment, he discovers the traitor author may have started it all. In a moment of inspiration, One takes off The Mask…

Episode 5: Level 20

 

In episode five, One begins to question things around him, including the mask and what's behind ACorN. As he finds liberation in a small act of rebellion, he reads about the mask’s effect on the people in the journal.

Episode 6: So Tonight, We Go

 

In episode six, as the One nears the end of the story in the Old Object, he is left making sense of its abrupt ending and the apparent beginning of his own world. Finally, One and the Other find themselves linked by the Object.

Christopher Garetano produced and directed several award-winning films, including the 2005 film, “Horror Business,” and the 2015 docudrama, “Montauk Chronicles,” which received awards for best documentary at the 2015 Philip K. Dick Film Festival and best picture at the Celludroid Film Festival. Garetano is the creator of the comic strip and anticipated graphic novel, “South Texas Blues,” originally published in Fangoria Magazine in 2012. In 2016, Garatano collaborated with Texas Crew Productions and HISTORY as an executive producer, host, and director of re-creations on the television movie, “The Dark Files.” Garetano is also currently directing an episode of a new thriller anthology series with DIGA STUDIOS titled, “Fifty States of Fear.”Garetano’s dream project – “Strange World,” is an investigative docu-series that successfully aired on the Travel Channel in 2019. Garetano is a film graduate of the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. His most recent project is the fascinating podcast, Off To The Witch.

Eileen Stevens is a voice-over artist working with companies and individuals who seek a versatile voice that can bring their vision to life.

I’m also a certified speech-language pathologist, coaching others on accent reduction and public speaking to ensure their voice is their very best.

As someone who has been creating voices and singing since I can remember, has a background in voice-over production (directing and producing), and a master’s in communication sciences (M.S. Hunter College), I approach every job with passion, professionalism, and a depth of understanding.

Being in the voice-over world is fun and exciting and creative and challenging even, but the bottom line to be efficient and do a superb job, I get that, too! My philosophy can be summed up as: always do your best, and remember you can always learn something new.
